Abstract: Library preparation methods are the backbone of any next-generation sequencing (NGS) assay. RainDance Technologies’ patented picoliter droplet technology ensures single DNA molecule occupancy during multiplex droplet PCR targeted enrichment to generate NGS libraries with superior amplicon coverage and uniformity. In this webinar, Dr. Qi Wei from Children’s Hospital Colorado discussed how utilizing the RainDance ThunderBolts™ Myeloid Panel enabled detection of relevant AML-associated somatic mutations, especially in difficult to amplify GC-rich regions such as the CEBPA gene.
About the Presenter: Dr. Qi Wei graduated with a major in biochemistry from East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai and obtained a Ph.D. in human genetics from University of Denver. He is the founder of molecular diagnostic laboratory at Children’s Hospital Colorado. His lab has been focusing on molecular profiling for the hematologic malignancies. He is nationally recognized for his expertise in molecular laboratory techniques and quality assurance and is frequent speaker at national and international conferences.
